These chairs (we made 10 of them) were a custom design we originally made in the early 90's. We used a photo from the Makinson Greene and Green book for inspiration, yet the clients added florishes of their own. I spoke with them recently and they have just replaced the fabric after about 16 years. Black painted cherry armchair with silk upholstery. Fabric hadn painted by Mary Jane Sarvis of Shaftsbury, VT.
