Inspired by a Japanese tonsu chest, these stairs replaced a dangerous set of spiral metal stairs. Totally functional; reinforced where necessary with steel. Natural cherry with handforged hardware by Morrell Metalsmiths, Colrain, Massachusetts. The samll cabinets contain stereo equipment and speakers below.
