This was a big project and a real team effort. A king-sized curly maple bed with carved spiral posts and walnut pine cones, and inlays of copper (reddish color details), brass (beaks and feet) and steel (blued, blackened and polished) in walnut strips at the tops of the headboard. The inlays were cut with a water jet and then filed or sanded to fit and colored. A complex and challenging piece to build, but with really beautiful results.
