We have automated production of our own and some of our client's chair parts. The obvious starting place for us was cutting the back legs and rail mortises. From there, for a few of our designs, we have gone on to cutting the curved mid and top rails including the mortises. We have also prototyped and produced short runs of chairs for other woodworkers.
